How we look after your personal information.
When you ask us for a valuation, phone us or browse this site, you trust us with details about you and your home. This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, who sees it and how you stay in control of it, as the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) requires.

01Who we are
Goodwood Property Pros is the website of Season's Star Trading 361 CC (registration number 2003/072065/23), trading as Rawson Properties Goodwood, a franchise of Rawson Properties. Our office is at Shop 1A, CTI Business Park, 69 Vasco Boulevard, Goodwood, Cape Town.
Under POPIA we are the "responsible party" for the personal information you give us through this website, by phone, by email or in person. Lee Ross is our Information Officer and Radiyah van der Schyff is our Deputy Information Officer, both registered with the Information Regulator under registration number 2024-017427.
02What we collect and why
We only collect what we need to answer your request and, if you choose to sell with us, to handle the sale of your property.
- Your name, mobile number and email address
- So Lee can phone you back, book a visit and send you your valuation.
- Your property address, suburb, property type and bedrooms
- To prepare an accurate valuation and compare your home with recent sales nearby.
- Your selling timeline, best time to call and any notes you add
- So we contact you when it suits you and come prepared.
- Identity documents, proof of address and ownership details
- Only if you go on to sell with us. Estate agents must verify sellers under the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA), and the mandate and sale documents need them.
- How you found us and how you use this site
- The page you sent the form from, campaign tags in the link and anonymous usage data, so we can see which pages and adverts help people find us.
We don't collect special personal information (such as health, religion or biometric data) and we don't knowingly collect information about children.
03What you have to give us
Sharing your information with us is voluntary. Fields marked as required on our forms are the minimum we need to respond. If you leave them out, we won't be able to contact you or value your property. Before you send a form, we ask for your consent to use your details as described in this policy.
06How long we keep it
- Valuation requests that don't lead to a sale: up to 12 months, then we delete them, unless you ask us to stay in touch.
- Sellers and buyers: for at least five years after the sale, as FICA and tax law require.
- Website analytics: according to Google Analytics retention settings, in anonymous form.
When we no longer need your information, we delete or destroy it so it can't be rebuilt.
07Keeping it safe
This site sends your details over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Form entries can only be seen by Lee, Robyn and our office administrator through password-protected accounts. Our web developers can reach the site to maintain it, but don't use your information for anything else. If we ever discover that your information has been accessed without permission, we'll tell you and the Information Regulator as soon as reasonably possible.
